GROWING CANNABIS WITH LED GROW LIGHTS
Share
I’ve been growing cannabis ever since it became legal in our state. I have also tried just about every type of lighting there is. Of course the best lighting is LED FLOOD LIGHTS. For two reasons, the operating cost is minimal and the par value is maximum. The only problem with LED light fixtures is your growing area is limited to the size of your light fixture. I believe the absolute best lighting is with LED low wattage flood lights. Which can be found on my website at. www.cannabisgrowingsupplier.com
I’ve found the best material to make a light fixture from is simply a sheet of plywood.
A: Cut your plywood to your desired growing area size.
B: Drill desired number of holes for drop down heavy duty patio light socket cord.
C: Put your light sockets through the holes and secure cord.
D: Put your flood lights in and hang with a light weight chain.
You can use as little as one bulb or as many as two bulbs per square foot of lighting.
“I highly recommend two bulbs per square foot of light fixture.”
The sizes and number of bulbs I recommend are :
4’X 2’- 15 bulb for seedlings or three adult plants.
4’X 3’ – 25 bulb for six plants.
4’X 5’ – 40 bulb for twelve plants.
3’X6’ – 32 bulb for an 8’ grow tent.
I personally use two 4’X 3’ – 25 socket light fixtures. One for growing and one for budding, with a blackout curtain between them. This way I’m able to harvest six plants and start six new plants every two months.
